Italian food has the power to bring people together, rich and poor, family and friends. It helps people forget themselves and escape into the convivalitá – into the sharing. It is healthy for the body and good for the planet. In a world of lost authenticity, Sunday Pasta educates with the history and context necessary to understand the true cucina italiana. We aim to preserve this Italian form of genius and art. We invite you to share in the mission. Spread your love through food.
There are two adages that I believe with all my heart. First: All Roads lead to Rome. Second: The way to the heart is through the stomach. From here, the logic is simple: The way to the heart is through Italian food. My grandmother, Virginia Garrubbo, understood this more than anyone. She knew it consciously, and she knew is instinctively. She lived to cook. Cooking was her art. She is loved and remembered for her culinary expertise. This guide is dedicated to her, and to Italian grandmothers everywhere, who share their love through food.
